I made these cookies on 4/4/12 after my SO saw diner524's wonderful photo of this recipe. Since there's just the two of us,the recipe was cut in half. And just as she did, I used semi-sweet morsels. Other than cutting the recipe in half and using the semi-sweets the recipe was made just as it was written. Thank you so much for posting this recipe and " Keep Smiling : )"
My whole family loved these cookies!! I didn't want 7 dozen cookies so I scaled it back to 1/4 of the recipe. I always buy butter rather then margarine, so I used 2/3's butter and 1/3 Crisco shortening, in order to keep it more like using margarine. Making 1/4 of the recipe resulted in 2 1/2 dozen cookies using my 1 inch cookie scoop. I felt the cookies batter to chocolate chip ratio was perfect. Instead of the milk chocolate chips, I subbed the semi-sweet chips, as that is what I had on hand and enjoy in my cookies. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe, its a keeper. Made for PAC 2012.
