  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine sugar, butter, cornstarch, eggs, and vanilla in large bowl; mix well.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
  4. Pour mixture into pie shell.
  5. Bake about 50 minutes or until filling begins to pull away from sides of crust.
  6. Cool completely on rack.
