Chocolate Cherry Kisses

READY IN: 44mins
Recipe by Mrs. Elkins

This is a better homes and gardens cookie recipe, from their holiday cookies booklet. I eliminate the chocolate kisses, as we prefer them without.

i was very disappointed in the end product..when i was putting the ingredients together they looked as if it was going to be delicious,,,but the end product tastes nothing like cherries and the only thing that is chocolate is the kiss that you put on top..take off that choc kiss and your going to have a cookie that taste like home made wall paper paste,,just the taste of flour and water...,,.wont make these again,,,

  1. Preheat oven to 325. Beat butter about 30 seconds, add powdered sugar and salt; beat until combined. Beat in 2 teaspoons cherry liquid and almond extract. Beat in flour. Stir in cherries. Shape dough into 1 inches balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Dip a glass into the cherry liquid, then into granulated sugar and flatten the cookie. Bake about 14 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. If desired, press a chocolate kiss onto the top of each cookie. Cool on wire rack.
