- Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in melted chocolate.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with water.
- Stir in cherries and nuts.
- Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 inch cake pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
