Comforting and warming spiced beverage. All those tropic ingredients melts well together and develop a nice flavor.
I prepared as suggested, but I cutted down the nutmeg as I used some fresh grounded.
It's good way to cut down the quantity of milk keeping full taste. The chilli addition is a good tip!
Thanks a lot for offering this.

This is absolutely delicious. I halved the recipe to make two cups and my daughter and I enjoyed this chai so much. It was soothing and very flavorful! I do recommend straining it before serving. I didn't because I had ground my cardamom pods up really well and didn't think they would need to be strained, however we did have bits of it floating around the top. Next time I'll strain. I used the full amount of milk (well, I used rice milk) and thought it was perfect! Made for ZWT8 India. Thank you!

I have long been a fan of the chocolate and chai combo, and this one was excellent! I loved the addition of the cayenne pepper - it was a pleasantly surprising touch. Thanks for sharing! ZWT8

Smooth and delicious! I did follow LIG's hint and strained the chai before serving and the beverage was wonderful. Very easy to halve the recipe and have two wonderfully sized drinks. Definitely do not skip on the salt - it makes everything just burst with good flavors. I know I'll be making this more often this winter when the evenings get chilly. Found and made during ZWT8.

Okay, this settles it, the best recipes do come out of New Orleans....love this tea gailanng. It is so good, really enjoyed the chocolate flavor, the spices, the vanilla and the whipped cream. Ummmm so yummy. I'm not really a tea drinker, but you could convert me. I really enjoy how the salt in this drink brought all the flavors to the forefront. Thanks for sharing this treat. Very easy to put toghether. Only thing that keeps this from 5 stars is the amount of cayenne. Way to much for us. I would leave it out and sub ground ginger, which will give some heat and blend with the other chai flavors. Made for Best of 2012 game.
