These are fantastic! I found the large 6 pound box of Ghirardelli Brownie mix at Costco. I didn't have walnuts so I used slivered almonds, which I toasted. The chocolate, almonds, and raisins together, tasted like a Cadbury Fruit and Nut chocolate bar which happens to be one of my favorites. A keeper for sure! Thanks for sharing!
Yum! Easy to make, great taste. Before I found this recipe, I didn't know that Ghirardelli made a brownie mix. My store didn't carry the triple chocolate, but I did use their double chocolate and it's really good. I think their walnut brownie mix would also be good in this too for those of us who like lots of nuts in our brownies. Thanks for sharing.
Great recipe! Family gobbled them up. Also took advice no to over cook. Came out great. thank for posting
Get out the milk, Syd's brownies are out of the oven! These are so moist and delicious. I took your advice and was careful to not overbake. I started checking on them at 30 minutes, and set the timer at 3-4 minute intervals until a toothpick inserted in center came out with quite moist crumb vs batter. Total baking time for me was about 39 minutes. I did add the walnuts. My DS has 6 friends over,(yes 6) and you should have heard the hoot and hollering when I walked into the room with a plate piled with brownies:) Thanks for sharing Syd, we love them. Nick's Mom
I was pretty sure I was going to like these since you had the good sense to recommend my favorite brand of brownie mix lol :) I used Ghirardelli semi-sweet chips and the Ghirardelli mix mentioned. Richly delicious for sure! The raisins made a nice addition. Thanks for posting Sydney Mike!
