This is an old family favorite that I prepare for all family functions. Quick & simple with rave reviews. Allow 4 hours for chilling

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 10 large marshmallows
  • 14 cup milk
  • 4 ounces milk chocolate candy bars
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 1 (4 ounce) container Cool Whip
  • 14 cup chopped almonds (toasted)
  • 1 pie crust (of your choice)

Directions

  1. Combine marshmallows and milk on top a double boiler.
  2. Cook over simmering water until marshmallows are just melted.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add chocolate bar and instant coffee, stirring until chocolate melts.
  5. Let mixture cool to room temperature.
  6. Fold whipped topping into chocolate mixture.
  7. Pour into crust, and sprinkle with almonds.
  8. Chill 4 hours until set.

Simple, and elegant at the same time! I used a graham cracker crust, and topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. I'll be making this again. Thanks, Hazeleyes
