About as simple as you get here. Still one of my favorites and very healthy!
- Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until thick like a malt or shake.
- Drink and enjoy!
The taste was good, but I had problems with the consistency. I thought I had half a cup of soymilk to finish, but it turned out to be a whole cup... yet I still had chunks of ice in my smoothie!! I think next time I'll use crushed ice from my ice maker instead of relying on my blender to do the job. I even added some water to try and get it to blend properly, but that didn't help much either. I used half of a frozen banana, a heaping teaspoon of cocoa, and two packets of Splenda to counter the cocoa's bitter flavor. Thanks for posting!
Gotta admit that I didn't follow the recipe exactly ~ Omitted the ice, then used 2 large frozen bananas along with 3/4 cup of milk & 6 tablespoons of the chocolate! Still, it was A GREAT SMOOTHIE, & one I'd make again! [Tagged, made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in the current Pick-A-Chef]
