Chocolate Applesauce Cake

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup margarine
• 1 3⁄4 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 16 ounces applesauce
• 2 cups flour
• 3 tablespoons cocoa
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 1 1⁄2 cups chocolate chips, divided
• 1⁄2 cup chopped walnuts

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Cream margarine and sugar.
3. Add eggs, applesauce, flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and 3/4 cups chocolate chips.
4. Pour into greased 9X13 pan.
5. Mix cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over cake.
6. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and walnuts over cake.
7. Bake for 45 minutes.
