This was SOOOOO good! And pretty, with the red berries and green pistachios.The US measurements didn't translate properly, but it was easier to figure after I adjusted the servings to 24(which fits perfectly in an 8" x 8" pan). For USA readers, that measurement for chocolate bits comes to about 1/2 cup if you select 24 servings. Also, I couldn't find any plain biscuit-type cookies at my grocer, so used animal crackers, which broke nicely for this. How good are these? I was chiding myself for taking "just one more" until the other day, when I realized my husband had eaten 10 of the slices I'd packed in a gift tin for a co-worker. Thank you, Tisme, for sharing. These will become a tradition for Christmas.

  1. Grease and line a 8cm x 26cm bar/loaf pan with baking paper.
  2. Place the condensed milk and butter in a saucepan and stir over a gentle heat until the butter is melted. Remove the pan from heat and add the white chocolate, stir together until mixture is completely smooth. (I use the microwave for this step).
  3. Place biscuit pieces in a bowl with the cranberries, pistachios and almonds and add the chocolate mixture. Mix well and add the choc bits.
  4. Press the mixture into prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Refrigerate until set. Cut into slices and serve.
