your right about better cocoa powder ,i used now organic cocoa powder wow , if you are wanting a brownie fix this is the cookie for you. wet you hands when rolling the balls cause dough is little tacky .try these cookies easy and good

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, butter, eggs and almond extract until creamy. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  4. Roll tablespoonfuls of dough into balls.
  5. Place on ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake 6 to 8 minutes. Let stand on sheets for 2 minutes before removing and cooling completely.
  7. Sprinkle lightly (just a dusting) with confectioners' sugar.
