Woweee...this is so good Sharon. After making your recipe#172631, I knew I had to give this a try using the butter. My banana was frozen and so I opted out of the iceccubes and also the nutritional yeast. The flax seed meal adds a nice texture and just a bit of a crunch. Just the right amount of sweetness with the honey too. I used skim milk for my liquid of choice. Really Really Good!!! Made for Vegn-n-Swap~

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and cut into 2-inch chunks (fresh or frozen)
  • 6 ounces vanilla soy yogurt (or regular vanilla yogurt)
  • 34 cup vanilla-flavored soymilk (or rice milk or almond milk-more or less to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (carob is good too!)
  • 1 tablespoon finely ground flax seed
  • 1 tablespoon honey (more or less to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast (optional)
  • 12 cup ice cube (optional)

Directions

  1. If using frozen banana, you can skip the ice if you wish.
  2. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and process at top speed for about 1 minute or until smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass and serve. Enjoy!
