Wow! The steak was awesome but the sauce is definately the star! I will keep it on hand for dipping taquitos and anything else i can think of! Will definately make again! You could even use the sauce for chicken. Thanks for a GREAT recipe!
This is an awesome recipe!!! I threw a "Fiesta" for my GF's BDay this past weekend. This dish was a hit, everyone loved it. The marinade was great, I did it over nite also using Merlot & 2 hefty TBL of the minced Chipotles in Adobo. The dipping sauce is Fantastic as well, super tastey with just a lil' bit of heat at the end. We served it Taco Bar style, with a large platter of taco "fixin's". Along with Spanish style rice, beans, and lots & lots of Mojito's! This is a definate keeper!
I did this for a birthday party for 20 that I did with a Southwestern theme--this was definitely my favorite. The marinate made the beef amazing. The sauce just made it so unbelievable. Love it!!! Everyone else did to!!! You must make this. I made it with a mixture of corn, potatoes, black beans etc from food network for a whole Southwestern theme. Thanks for this great recipe.
Very good. I increased the chipotle in the sauce to 1/2 can, with a liberal amount of sauce, (we're a spice-lovin' bunch). It was for a party and was completely wiped out.
This was great! I used bufallo steaks instead of flank steaks, and marinated all day. The amount of marinade was perfect for 2 lbs worth. After grilling, I sliced the steaks and served them with brown rice. They were so tasty off the grill that I wasn't sure we were even going to *need* the sauce, but I'm glad I made it. it was really good poured over the the steak and brown rice. I served this with ceviche (#8899) and beer bread (#73440) and everything seemed to go very well together. Not cheap, but definately tasty. Thanks for the great recipie!
Very easy to make. I did add extra chipotle to the sauce. Each bite left you to wanting more, just a perfect taste. Every one had seconds. I will definitely be fixing this again. I served it with steamed sugar snap peas and sweet potatoes.
