This is one of my favorite things in the world. However, I just cut up the sausage and throw it in the rice cooker with the rice. Nothing else and it's still great!
We enjoyed this simple dish -- so easy too! The changes I made was using smoked turkey sausage (I would love to try this with Chinese sausage someday though), skipping the garnish (forgot both) but added 1/2 package of frozen peas near the end of the cooking time. Thanks for sharing this easy dish which we all enjoyed!
