All of our local Chinese resturants serve this with Mar Far Chicken. Great on chicken strips/nuggets. Adults and kid's love this dip!!
- Combine sugar, vinegar and ground dry mustard; mix well.
- Add mayo, horseradish and ketchup, whip until smooth;
- cover and let set overnight. Enjoy!
Yummmmm, this is a real nice sauce, next time I think that I will put it with prawns and salad like a prawn cocktail, that would confuse the guests as it tastes quite different from the usual one. Made for breast awareness 09
I love this sauce!!! I can see the possibilities, too-I think I will make some more and try adding onion, garlic, relish, celery, parsley, ginger-you get the idea! This sauce just did not work for us; I made as directed and served as a dip w/fresh vegies of carrots and celery. For us it had to much of an overwhelming ketchup taste - though we did like the slight bite of the horseradish. I have to add we've never had this type of sauce in a resturant before so really can't say if it's the same so to be expected. But as we are NOT big ketchup fans, so didn't really work for us. Maybe w/additon of other flavors as noted by other reveiwers to cut the ketchup a little it would work better for us. But I'm thinkinn it's probably just a personal taste thing - not necessarily the fault of the recipe.
