    From Mable Hoffman's "Crockery Cookery." Hers didn't call for "low sodium" soy sauce. Also calls for 2 red or green bell peppers, Zaar didn't like that so I wrote one of each.

    Directions:

      Trim fat from steak; slice into thin strips.
    2. 2
      Combine steak, garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce, hoisin sauce and sugar in a slow cooker.

      Cover and cook on LOW about 4 hours.

      Turn control to HIGH.
    5. 5
      Add tomato and bell peppers.
    6. 6
      Dissolve cornstarch in water in a small bowl; stir into steak mixture.

      Cover and cook on HIGH 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened.

      Stir in bean sprouts.

      Sprinkle with onions.
    10. 10
      Serve with rice.
