Chinese Meatballs With Snow Peas from the House of Rice

A new twist on meatballs, the waterchestnuts and celery give them a crunch. You can also serve with rice. Recipe calls for fresh ginger, but I use fresh ginger in a jar, so eassssyyyy.

  1. Combine Meatball mixture in a large bowl, form mixture into small firm balls.
  2. Fry in oil until brown and cooked through. ( You can also bake them on a cookie sheet at 350 about 15-20 minute shaking the pan to brown them on all sides).
  3. In a small pan, cook sauce mixture until thickened.
  4. Meanwhile; stir fry garlic in 2 T. oil add snow peas and continue frying about 20 sec., add salt, remove from wok and arrange peas on individual serving plates.
  5. Place meatballs in the center of pea pods, pour sauce on top.
