Do you love the tea that they serve at Chinese food restaurants? Here is the very simple recipe for hot green tea, just like they serve in China.
- 946.36 ml cold water
- 19.71 ml green tea (or 4 tea bags)
- Bring water just to a boil. Remove from the heat.
- Put the tea leaves in a strainer and put in the water to steep (or add tea bags if you are using them instead). Steep for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove tea and serve immediately in a teapot.
Positively loved this light refreshing tea. I used leaf tea and as I have an infuser style of pot I heated the pot with hot water, poured it out and then put the tea leaves in the infuser basket and poured over the boiling water and let it steep before drinking. Thank you Sommer Clary, made for Chinese Vietnamese New Year Tag game.
Flawless! I love the tea one gets at most Chinese restaurants as it is always mellow and complementary to whatever you are eating and this wonderful this recipe proved to be no exception. I made as written and will be making again, thanks for the post.
I felt this was weak compared with the tea I love that they serve at Chinese restaurants. I used an organic green tea bag. On the package it even said steep less time. Hm
