"Chinese" Candy

A little different, and OH so good. I include these when making up candy trays, as gifts, at Christmas time.

My daughter and I make these in the spring - we mold them into little bird's nests (using our hands) and fill them with malted milk chocolate eggs and/or jelly beans. Thought this idea might be useful! I keep them in the refrig. too and serve at room temperature. They're also good to use as 'bowls' for an ice cream sundae. We chop the peanuts before adding them...

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 (12 ounce) packages butterscotch chips
  • 1 (5 ounce) packagecrunchy chinese noodles
  • 7 ounces salted peanuts


  1. Melt butterscotch chips in heavy saucepan over low heat.
  2. Fold in peanuts and chinese noodles until coated.
  3. Drop by tablespoon onto waxed paper.
  4. Let stand in cool place until firm.
