These feel more chinese than Japanese in origin but a lot of modern Japanese food has Chinese influences. These work very well as a side with sushi.
- 2 tablespoons chili oil
- 3 red peppers, chopped 2 cm dice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Heat oil and fry peppers until starting to soften (3 - 4 mins).
- Add the soy and simmer briefly, tip into a serving dish.
these were great served with lime and season salt loved them
