I got this recipe off of Allrecipes. I love strawberries and this is the ultimate. It can be used as a soup to start a summer meal, or as a very thick smoothie to be drank anytime. It is a very eye appealing dish, especially when topped with fresh strawberry slices and a swirl of whipped cream. Cook time is actually chill time.
- Puree strawberries, milk, cream and sour cream in a blender of food processor until smooth.
- Stir in sugar to taste.
- Chill 8 hours or overnight in refrigerator before serving.
So good. I usually add more sugar.
Absolutely scrumptious! Lovely smoothie consistency. No need for sugar added, as I used the sweetened frozen strawberries. Note to self: use the blender next time, food processor is not large enough for the full recipe. So refreshing!
This is an amazing soup for anytime. I make this all the time and serve with chopped up homemade angel food cake, whip cream, and fresh strawberries. Very easy and taste GREAT!
