      Unfortunately, this recipe had very little flavor for me. I did take the suggestion to add some sugar/cinnamon/cloves and that made it better. I also then added some cayenne to give it some punch.EDIT: 1/19/08 I opened a jar of this today and had on crackers. I must say the original flavors have increased--it's much more flavorful now--I'd now give it 4 stars.

      I really enjoyed this recipe. I canned it this fall and couldn't stay out of it while it was I kept dipping some crusty bread left over from the night before. Yummy, this tastes great with chicken or pork. delicious chili sauce thank you so much for this simple recipe....Stephanie

      This is a delicious recipe! I love that I can use it as is, as a salsa or savory chili sauce, or add some sugar and cinnamon and cloves and make a sweet chili sauce! Very good flavors. I used medium tomatoes, 1 green pepper, but only had about 1/2 of a red pepper. I used medium red onions and got about 3 1/2 pints. Thank you so much for posting Rose!
