The recipe suggests using these onions on burgers, to perk-up beans, cooked rice and mashed sweet potatoes. Another 4-ingredient dish.
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 onion, cut into 3/8 inch dice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cumin
- In a small skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil. Mix in the onion, chili powder, cumin and 1/4 teaspoons salt. Saute until the onion is translucent and crisp-tender, 4 minutes. Adjust the seasoning with salt to taste. Cool to room temperature.
AWESOME! We had this as a side dish to chicken and I loved the seasonings. I used grapeseed oil spray and added black pepper. Will make this quite often!! Made for 1-2-3 Hits Tag Game 2012.
So easy to make...so easy to enjoy...we loved it! We put these tasty onion bits on our hamburgers and gobbled them up...thanks for posting it...:)
Ohhhhhh, the aroma...and I like when a room takes on an expectant air. Also, great on hot dogs or pork chops. This so inspires me. Oh, I get it. Martha? Is that you? Made for Everyday Is A Holiday.
