Simple but satisfying for the teens in the house.
- 1 (12 ounce) can chili
- 8 hot dogs
- 8 hot dog buns
- Heat the chili in a pot over med heat, stirring occasionally.
- Cook the weiners according to your preference, ie: grilling, boiling, or broiling, you can easily cook them in the microwave in a little water.
- Place the cooked weiners on the buns,top with chili.
- Shredded cheese or chopped raw onion sprinkled on top is a great addition to chili dogs.
Simple and yummy. I toasted the buns and added some diced onions and mozzarella. Grandson loved these. Thanks Chef Dee for a quick nice dinner. Made for Cookbook Tag.
I grilled the hot dogs and lightly toasted the buns, then topped with the chili and also topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Really hit the spot!
