If you like Chili but don't have the time to make chili, try this as a substitute. Terrific on a fresh roll. This came from Cooking With Carol A Taste Of The Past. I have not tried this, just posting for safe keeping.
- Cook bacon in a skillet until brown and crisp. Add onions and celery. Let simmer about 5 minutes.
- Combine seasonings with ground meat and add to vegetables. Cook until slightly brown. Add beans and tomatoes. Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot on hard rolls.
