Made this for a Chilean Potluck. I used one 9in springform pan and just sliced it in half. I also tripled the tequila. The sweetness of the pineapple juice counteracts the alcohol so it wasn't overpowering. This cake was a huge hit.
I made this cake with a partner for a Spanish project. We have not tried it yet but it looks so yummy! We did not add the liquor. However one thing I would like to say is that we had A LOT of the heavy whipped cream topping left over. I think one quart is a little bit too much.
