WOW, this is sooooo good! I was a little sceptical I have to admit, but this turned out fantastic! LOVED the taste and texture of this, it was like eating marzipane! YUM! I used applesauce in place of the lemon juice as Im allergic to the latter and due to that I reduced the syrup to 1 tbs, which was plenty sweet for our taste.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this keeper, I will make this again and again. :)

  1. Put the chickpeas, maple syrup, lemon juice, almonds and raisins in the bowl of the food processor. Pulse a few seconds.
  2. Spread the mixture on bread. Or crackers.
