Pretty good. Not sure if I was supposed to add the juice from the canned tomatos though as it seemed a little too soupy. I added a can of mixed beans to compensate. Tastes nice and fresh. Served over leftover macaroni (strange I know, but it's what was needing to be used up) Delicious. Would probably serve over couscous or rice if I make it again.

Very delicious! I used roma tomatoes which worked fine, but I imagine grape tomatoes would be even more flavorful. I added a little extra curry powder since our household loves curry. The whole family gave it a thumbs up. Thanks for the great recipe!

This is a really good dahl recipe, the curry level was perfect for my husband who has a problem with too much curry. Easy and quick to make, we served it on brown rice. Made by ZWT6 for the Asian Country challenge.

I wish I wasn't so full so I could make this again! Wondeful combination of spices and veggies. I admit using precooked canned potatoes but otherwise made as posted. DH gave it a rave 5 stars and he isn't a 5 star guy. We are putting this in the permanent cookbook for Indian nights. Made for ZWT^ by a fellow Looney Spooner.

This is fabulous and so easy to make! I used all fresh grape tomatoes to make this along with a bit of water to thin it out because the grape tomatoes did not have much juice. The taste is not overwhelmingly curry and I like that. It tastes quite fresh from all the tomatoes and the taste of tomatoes and onion comes through beautifully here. I served this on the side with Japanese omurice - omelette rice. Thanks for posting this yummy recipe!

Delicious!! How wonderful and spicy with a little sweet from the ginger, grape tomatoes, and curry! I used Muir Glen fire-roasted tomatoes and I drained them because I wasn't sure from the recipe. It worked great! Used butter instead of margarine and I cut back the cumin to 1/2 tsp and the curry to 4 tsp for personal taste. Loved this dish, thanks!!!
