- 1⁄2 lb bacon
- 1 1⁄2 cups onions, chopped
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1/4 inch strips
- 1 1⁄2 cups chicken broth
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 4 cups egg noodles, cooked
directions
- Cook bacon over medium heat until crisp; remove from pan and crumble.
- Add onion and chicken to drippings in pan and saute.
- Add bacon, broth, spices and garlic to chicken and bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Combine sour cream and flour, stirring until smooth.
- Add sour cream mixture to pan and bring to a boil.
- Simmer for 2 minutes, stirring comstantly.
- Serve over egg noodles.
- (Serving size: 1 cup of stroganoff and 1 cup of noodles).
