Great tasting chicken sate! I made these last night for our New Years Eve party and they were a huge hit! I used 4 large chicken breasts sliced fairly thin and tripled the marinade recipe. Due to availability in my pantry, I used small sweet onions for the shallots, light brown sugar, and left out the fish sauce and cloves. I let the chicken marinate for about 5 hours, then cooked the skewers on the BBQ. The chicken really soaked up the sweet/spicy flavors! Before our guests had even arrived, my DH came into the kitchen with a skewer raving about how good they were. I just bought bottled peanut sauce, but my DH said it was so good without it, so I didn't even put it out. Next time I'll make them for dinner and use the peanute sauce, because that sounds so good to me! Thanks for a fab recipe!
