Chicken Pork Adobo (Philippines)

"This is a traditional food in the Philippines. Mom serves it with rice. You may also want to add hard-boiled eggs. (my mom calls it Humba) this tends to be a bit salty so careful!"

  1. Just a couple of notes from my Filipina girlfriend, raised in the Phils, now a naturalized American / Dual citizen. Use chicken with bones. Break the bones to cook / add the bone broth in the boiling. Also, the Soy sauce will have plenty of sodium, so don't add the salt - use low sodium soy sauce if you can. Oh, and she never adds any sugar of any kind.
