Lol! I like the addition of the fudgesicle! I was trying to figure out how you were going to incorporate that into the recipe! I read the directions and cracked up. Still smiling about it. :)people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? Yes | No We don't know who you are. Made for Everyday Holiday tag. I cut all ingredients in half,I used broad egg noodles in place of Spaetzle. This is a gorgeous comfort food from the Old World...delicious taste with so few ingredients. I would think adding some sauteed mushrooms to this with be awesome.people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? I think I deviated from this recipe too much to be able to rate it. I only had a pound of meat so I halved everything else, with the exception of the chicken broth and the sour cream which I only used a quarter of since I did not need a lot of liquid to do spaetzle. This was very flavorful and had more punch then other paprikash that I have had before. hubby and I liked the amount of pepper but the kids would have been happy with less. The ginger gave it a unique taste that I think many others may like but just didn't go with what my expectations of how paprikash should taste. I think I will try this again next winter when I know I am also going to make spaetzle. I might also add that I think that you should make sure everyone knows that this recipe is written to be made with spaetzle in the into because otherwise there is just too much sauce. Oh, and I had to substitute an ice cream Snickers bar for the fudgesicle....it was a great touch! Thanks for sharing. Made for my Babes for ZWT4.people found this review Helpful.
