Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Wash & clean chicken. Remove skin & fat and cut into pieces or sections.
  2. Heat heavy duty casserole pot (Creuset or equivalant) with olive oil and brown sliced onions. Remove when it becomes soft & translucent.
  3. In the same pot, add chicken pieces till lightly browned.
  4. Put in the sauteed onion slices and mix well.
  5. Add Paprika powder (more if you like the heat!) and mix well to coat chicken & onions.
  6. Add salt & pepper to taste.
  7. Stir in 1 cup of water.
  8. Remove from stove top and place in heated oven (160 - 180 degrees celcius) for 45 minutes Make sure lid is on the pot.
  9. Remove from oven after 45mins and stir in 2 to 3 tbsp sour cream. The consistency changes and it should look like a mild curry!
  10. Add salt & pepper to taste.
  11. Boil fresh linguine till al dente.
  12. Serve linguine with chicken paprika over and sprinkle a little more paprika for presentation and a small dollop of sour cream.
  13. Serves 4.

I am only rating this based on the chicken, as I did not make the linquine. I used just chicken thighs, and they were cooked perfectly. This is really easy and turns out so tasty. I might add more sour cream, though. I used low-fat sour cream. Made for Fall 2008 PAC Orphanage.
