This was DELICIOUS! Everyone in my house loved it so much that I made it three times in two weeks. I cooked the chicken beforehand and sprinkled some poultry season on them in addition to the poultry seasoning added directly into the soup. I also put the chicken in with the potato... this gave it more time to soak up some flavor/broth and make it super tender! Thank you so much for a great recipe... it's so easy to make!
This is really good! I didn't have celery and carrot at hand, so I used some mushrooms instead, and it turned out nice and tasty! Perfect for those cold rainy night when you are feeling too lazy to cook as this was really simple and quick, not to mention healthy too! Thanks alot! Def a keeper.
Excellent!!! Made this twice in the past week and everyone likes it. It is gone in the first 5 minutes. The thyme gave extra taste to the soup as well as the celery. I put 2 big potatoes in it because I like it. and it taste wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
Really enjoyed this!!! I altered the recipe a bit though, taking out the onion and potato and using chicken stock instead of broth. Next time I think I'd leave out the thyme and poultry seasoning as it was too noticeable in the broth and hubby didn't care for it. I think the stock already has a bit of both however. Still a really good simple recipe that was a hit. Thank you!
Needs more spices. I added some minced garlic, S & P and some basil. It was quick to make and very filling. Will decrese the thyme as this is not a favorite herb.
My family loved this soup. We did add some chopped garlic to the onion, celery, carrot in the beginning. I also will leave out the potato next time as it really didn't "fit" for me in the soup. I try to make this once every other week or so because we loved it so much!
Most excellent. Did not know you could make such good soup with shortcuts. I used Herbes de Provence for the seasoning. Very delicious. Thank you for a fine recipe.
Wonderful soup! Substituted green peppers for the potatoes (only because I was out of potatoes). Otherwise, made exactly as written. Served with crusty bread and a green salad for a perfect fall meal. Thank you, Inez, for yet another great recipe!
This was great. I didn't have poultry seasoning, so I used chicken seasoning, which turns out is completely different than poultry seasoning...guess I should've checked first! haha But, of course it was still wonderful and easy to make. Really hit the spot- we were recovering from nasty colds so this fit the bill. Thanks!
Fantastic soup! I used about a quart of homemade chicken stock and 3 cups of water. This wasn't quite enough and I may add more stock next time. I sauteed 2 cloves of garlic with the onion (I think someone else mentioned that as well) and it added a nice flavour. I think this will be my go-to chicken noodle soup recipe from now on. Thanks for the great recipe.
