ingredients
- 1 kg chicken piece
- 3 -4 onions
- 3 tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 5 -6 green chilies
- salt, as desired
- 3 tablespoons oil
directions
- Fry sliced onions in oil till light brown.Add chicken pieces and stir them in oil for 3 minutes. Add red chilli powder, salt and turmeric powder and let the chicken cook with 4 cups water till nearly done. Lastly add the green chillies and cook for more 5 to 6 minutes. Serve hot with plain boiled rice.

A very easy chicken curry recipe - I also added a cup of yoghurt as well as the water to this dish. I felt that there was a little bit of flavour lacking in the spice mixture - I might add cumin and ground coriander next time I make this. I also cut back on the oil - I used 1 tablespoon of oil and it seemed to be more than enough. Made for PAC Spring 2008 - THANKS for posting this recipe Fawzia - lovely! FT:-)
