We enjoyed this very much and I will definitely make this again. Very easy dish to put together. I used 1 Pk. soup mix and doubled everything else. We like a lot of sauce. I served this with rice and a salad. Thanks for the yummy recipe Graybert. Rita

I was pretty skeptical about the soup mix and reduced it down to somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4, I just eyeballed it. I knew as soon as I dumped it I should have run my rolling pin across it a couple of times because I don't like all those little chunky onions. Aside from that, I was super surprised to find that I liked it so much and DH enjoyed it very much as well. It was sweet, tangy, sticky and very flavorful. I did reduce the cooking time though. I always cook my thighs at 350 for 30 minutes then turn the oven off and let them rest in there for another 15-20. They come out perfect every single time. This is a keeper and a new favorite Go-To when I need something, well, in a hurry. :) Thanks for posting!

This was pretty good except that the onions in the onion soup mix kind of took over the flavor. It was almost like an oniony BBQ sauce. We'll make it again except I think we'll cut back to half a packet of onion soup mix next time. It was just too much. But, my step-daughter ate 6 nugget sized pieces (I wasn't sure what size you meant by "cut up" so I made nuggets), which is a feat in itself and she doesn't even like onions. Go figure. Something that I think is overpowering, she loves. So if it keeps her eating without complaining the whole way through dinner, it's a keeper!

Made this for dinner tonight using boneless skinless chicken breasts. It was quick, easy, and tasty! I'll be making this again. Thanks for posting!

Made this last night for my boyfriend and he loved it! Followed the directions to a T except doubled the sauce. Thanks for a keeper!

I shredded the chicken in the sauce and made sandwiches with it. My "picky eater" even liked it! That, alone, makes it a five-star rating for me!

This recipe was WONDERFUL! It was so fast & easy to make. I loved how tender and moist the chicken was, and the sauce tasted great over rice. I will definitely be making this meal again. It was a big hit with me and even my picky husband & daughter thought it wasn't bad! Thank you!

Sorry, our family did not like this recipe at all. The sauce is too sweet and the onion soup mix gives it an odd flavor. Would also used boneless chicken since the skin is limp and greasy and the sauce is very runny and difficult to eat with a fork and knife. Definately not a healthy dish.

This was disappointing. The sauce kind of watered down after baking and there wasn't much flavor in the chicken

AMAZING! As a newbie, I love these recipes that are just chicken breasts baking in a simple sauce. The chicken turns out perfectly tender. I made the mistake of making the onion soup mix w/ 3 cups of water, so I tripled the ketchup & brown sugar and had a ton left over. The good news is that I used the sauce two more times for two more excellent meals!

Mmm. My Mum made this all the time - and it was the first "home" recipe I made for my bf & I after moving out. Glad to see it's a favourite for others as well :)

Made this tonight with some bone-in chicken thighs. WOW - I will be making this often. The sauce is yummy and the chicken is so moist! Even DH liked it and asked that I make it again! I think the sauce would be good on pork chops also - I will try that next and let you know.

Awesome. Quick and easy to fix and even picky hubby loved it. Used boneless, skinless thighs and forgot to grease the pan, but couldn't tell that it would have made a difference. Thanks for sharing!

Really delicious, and so simple! I will use this recipe again and again for those busy days when I haven't planned dinner ahead of time. A nice sweet/savory combination (but not too sweet) with the brown sugar and onion soup. My whole family loved this.
