Directions

  1. Cut beef into 6 pieces. Place each piece between two sheets of plastic wrap. Pound with meat mallet or rolling pin until 1/8" thick. Coat with flour.
  2. Heat oil in 12" skillet. Add beef and cook 10 minute or until browned and done. Remove and keep warm.
  3. Add gravy to skillet, stirring to loosen browned bits. Heat through. Serve over steak with mashed potatoes.

Thanks for a chicken fried steak recipe that DOES NOT use cube steak -- Woohoo! This was easy to make and turned out very good. Oh, I almost forgot to add that I did not used canned gravy, but did use Easy Country Gravy.
