Adapted from a recipe by OmegaJasmine at Hamburger patties are given the chicken-fried steak treatment. Nutrition information provided includes the full amount of oil, even though most of it is left behind, and is therefore unreliable.

Dh LOVED this. The crispy cracker coating on the burger really hit the spot for him. I'm not much on chicken fried steak, so it wasn't my favorite, but a nice change. Thanks for posting.

I used ground turkey instead of hamburger, and added a bit of garlic as well. I also topped it with brown gravy. It was absolutely delicious! DH raved about it to all his co-workers who asked for the recipe! This also freezes well if you pre-make the patties. Then thaw overnight/day, roll in the breadcrumbs and fry them up!

I loved these the first time I made them. Second time I decided to spice them up a bit. I added garlic powder, sea salt, celery salt and some onion powder to the breadcrumb mixture. 1/2 teaspoon of each. Really gave them a little extra kick.. Love them both ways!
