    Very spicy and strong, this is a real 'Old Wives' type of cold/flu remedy. The more spicy and strong you make it the better it seems to work on head congestion and that icky feeling, but only make it as strong as the recipient can handle.

      My dh can eat hotter than anyone, but not this. I did use habaneros..but have always heard, scoth bonnet are even hotter.perhaps with one pepper it would be ok. update..At the time I wrote this, the recipe called for 4 whole peppers. Kookiemomster thanked me and changed it to 4 tsp. Have never heard these peppers were the same, if so, then why the different names?

      Scotch Bonnet peppers and habaneros are the same pepper. I added some veggies to this and loved it! Thanks for posting.
