This dish does take some time to prepare but was good. My DH loved it and had seconds. I thought it was a creative chicken and spinach casserole but really didn't think the spinach DIP flavor came through as much as expected. The recipe filled a 13x9 baking pan and could have been halved for my family. It had a nice flavor but I may try a simpler alfredo dish next time.

Delicious! This recipe had great flavor and was enjoyed be the whole family. The only change that I made to this dish was to leave out the mushrooms as we are not mushroom eaters. However it did have alot of steps in the prep work and took quite awhile to prepare. As much as I enjoyed eating this I don't think it will be a dish I make often as I prefer to make things that take a little less time to make.

Sounds good, but a lot of trouble. Plan to make it, though.

We loved this recipe. The flavors were great, and, while it had a lot of steps to it, it was very easy to make. The only thing I did differently was not include the cashews (allergy). I will definately make it again.

YUM YUM! This was awesome! I made this for supper when my in-laws were over and my "meat and potatoes" loving FIL raved over this dish and my MIL requested the recipe. Even my kids ate their fair share. I love spinch dip and I love alfredo sauce and this casserole blends the flavours of the two dishes perfectly. Thanks for posting.

I spotted the Knorr soup base as an ingredient and immediately put this on my gotta try list. I love the stuff! First I‘ll mention the change I made in preparing the recipe. I decreased the powdered milk to 1 1/3 cups in 3 ½ cups water, as that is what the brand I use specifies. This was easy to assemble & made a very attractive casserole! It also makes A LOT! I put half of it into the freezer to cook another day. The taste of the sauce was pleasing and I feel the chef met their stated goal of a combo of spinach dip & alfredo flavors. I do think the casserole would have benefited from a slightly creamier sauce (less thick). I loved the use of cashews in the topping. All in all I think this was a creative use of contest ingredients and would make this again especially if I have lots of people to feed. Good job!
