Very good!!! When I boiled my chicken to use in this recipe, I added to the water salt, pepper, dried onions and cayenne pepper. Used 2 cups of the broth from the chicken that I had just cooked. I also added a heaping teaspoon of pureed chipotle pepper w/adobe sauce to the sauce. We like it spicy.

Very good!!! Incorporated 1/4 can of Campbell's fiesta nacho soup in the filling. Anymore would have overpowered the dish. Added 6 slices of thin sliced provolone cheese before pouring the remaining sauce on top. Thank you for the recipe!

The sauce is five stars: easy, totally not authentic, but still really tasty. I've made it just as directed, and a healthier version using olive oil & light sour cream. Can't tell the difference.
Put some goodies in the enchiladas themselves, like bell peppers, corn, and black beans.

This was wonderful. We substituted shrimp sautéed in garlic and butter for chicken and used jalapeños in the sauce. Absolutely amazing. Thank you.

Sign in or create an accountI've made this recipe before and it's wonderful. It reminds me of an old weight watchers recipes from years ago that was rich in flavor and I can't find it anymore. Nothing like a white creamy sauce for chicken enchiladas on a cool day. 5 stars!

I added taco seasoning to the sauce to kick it up a notch. My family loves this and it's even better as leftovers.

This dish was a huge hit with the family. I added a cup of cooked white rice to the chicken mix and used 1 cup of pepper jack cheese. YUMMY

I made half a recipe and they were great. I did use pepper jack cheese and they were so creamy and with great flavors.

We were disappointed. Very bland. I thought they might be but wanted to fix it per the recipe.

Absolutely excellent. First time I made sauce like this from scratch-I'll never go back to using anything else. The only think I did was add some garlic and onion powder to the finished sauce. Made one pan with flour tortillas and one with corn tortillas-Guests could not stop raving. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Made this tonight, added rice with the chicken and DH & I just loved it. Thinking next time around might add some corn and tomatoes to it.

I used this sauce to make turkey, black bean and veggie (zucchini, corn, green pepper) enchiladas. We loved it! May add 1/2 the cheese to the sauce next time to tone down the the sour cream b/c I am not a huge fan of sour cream. Thanks for a great recipe!

I've always made beef enchiladas with red sauce. And yes my son too wanted me to make the white sauce enchiladas. My family and I loved this recipe, it was very delicious. My only regret is that I wish I could make it sooner. This will definitely stay in my cookbook. Thank you vivmom
