This is what I call hearty, comfort food. Really, this was easy to put together and a short cooking time. The flavors all complimented each other. I loved this country style dish. You did it again, Nez! You have the best collection of recipes, hands down! Thanks so much for posting this one.

Definitely comfort food -- a cozy one dish meal. I used fresh chillis instead of canned, frozen potato rostis instead of hashbrowns and single cream instead of half and half - all because I'm the UK and those substitutions are as close as I can buy here. This was absolutely excellent. Will definitely do again as a treat -- the calories are high!

What a tasty and easy dish!! I made this tonight and didn't change a thing! The green chilies gave this casserole just enough "heat"!! Since there is only two of us, we've got lots left for another meal! Thanks for this great recipe Mizz Nezz! I'll certainly be making it again.

We were delighted with this casserole. Really, it was so easy to make and had all the comforting qualities of a good home-cooked meal. Rich, creamy, and cheesy chicken and potatoes that was both hearty and filling. Made this family very happy and we thank you, MizzNezz.

This is pretty good. I threw everything in together and cooked in the crockpot on low for 6 hours. I did add about a cup of chicken broth, but I could have probably just added a little extra half-and-half or something. I also used fat-free sour cream with no problems. It was good, though. The kids really liked it. Dh and both think there's just a little something missing, though. I'm thinking that next time, I'll either double the chiles in the recipe or switch out the salt for seasoning salt, or something like that. I definitely want to play around with it a bit to enhance the flavor. A good, filling meal with little hassle, though. Gotta love that! :)
