      We made this casserole tonight to use up some leftover chicken and we were very happy. We mixed in some frozen peas and carrots and used onion powder in place of onion. This will be in the books for a great dinner. It's easiest enough even for a weeknight!

      This recipe is excellent! I ended up using 2 cans of soup to have enough "sauce." As a special treat (and because I had them), I threw on some french fried onions for the last few minutes of cooking time. Thanks for posting! : )

      Oh my gosh this is so good and so very easy to make! I used a 7 ounce package of Tyson chicken, small macaroni noodles, cream of mushroom soup and onion powder instead of chopped onion. While the noodles were cooking I added all the ingredients except the cheese to my dutch oven and brought it to a boil. Added the noodles when they were just about done and simmered on low for about 15 minutes. Added half the cheese and mixed it in than topped with the rest of the cheese. Placed a cover on the pot and let set until the cheese melted. This would be so good with broccoli or any vegetable you like. I did add some pepper, lemon pepper, and celery seed because those are my favorites to add for this type of recipe. Loved the bit of tang from the mayonnaise! Sent some next door to my mom and she loved it too, asked for the recipe! Thank you for posting....made and reviewed for PAC Fall 2008.
