This is one of my mom's recipes. My kids really like it. You can asemble ahead of time and pop it in the oven when you get home from work.

This was definitely good but I wish I wouldn't have put in the pimento. I used fresh sauteed mushrooms, I don't like the canned ones they have no flavor.

  1. Cook lasagna according to the directions on the box.
  2. Blend cottage cheese and American cheese.
  3. For the sauce, cook onion and green pepper in butter.
  4. Stir in cream of chicken soup, milk, mushrooms, pimento, basil and chicken.
  5. Lightly grease 9x13 pan.
  6. Line pan with noodles.
  7. Use 1/2 of the chicken mixture for the next layer then all of the cheese mixture and end with the rest of the chicken mixture.
  8. Top with 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
