    Directions:

      Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. 2
      In a buttered casserole dish, combine chicken, cooked rice and beans.
    3. 3
      In a saucepan melt butter over medium high heat.
    4. 4
      Stir in onions and cook for one minute.
    5. 5
      Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
    6. 6
      Whisk in chicken stock and bring to a simmer.
    7. 7
      Whisk in cream or milk and return to a simmer.
    8. 8
      When the sauce has thickened pour over the mixture in casserole dish.
    9. 9
      Sprinkle with parmesan and almonds and bake for 30 minutes.

      Husband hates beans so tried fresh chopped spinach in place of - great substitution!
