Was craving comfort food on a rainy day and this hit the spot! I used boneless thighs instead of the whole chicken and put it in the crock pot instead of the stove and it was awesome and only took about 10mins of prep time! Thanks for the recipe!

Made this for supper last night and could not have been more pleased with the outcome of this recipe. It was delicious! I did not add the cream. I found after dropping the dumplings on top ,the soup did get a bit thicker. I did not add the shredded potatoto to the dumplings but did add carrot to the soup. Wonderful recipe. Thanks.

I had stewed a chicken one night and was looking for a good dumpling recipe when I found this one. I used some leftover mashed potatoes instead of the shredded and voila'...great dumplings! A keeper for sure.

Excellent soup, even better dumplings. I used canned stock and leftover chicken but did use the recipe spices (minus extra salt) and followed the rest to a deluxe T. We only used half the dumplings the first night - the next night I added corn & chopped tomatoes to the soup and served over the remaining dumplings (I mixed in some cheddar cheese with those). Two great meals - thank you very much!

At first, I wasn't going to rate this recipe. I spent a whole Sunday making it exactly as posted (Deluxe version, mind you!) and then thought, well it's ok **BUT** boy-o-boy, the next day, leftovers were absolutely delicious. Since I am still studying to be a Southerner, maybe this is the case with these kinds of recipes. But anyway, thanks for a keeper, Chip! I will be making this again. Loved the "dumplins" BTW!!
