Ingredients Nutrition

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 14 cups milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 34 cup cubed cooked chicken
  • 34 cup chopped cooked broccoli
  • 1 dash basil
  • salt
  • grated cheese

Directions

  1. Saute onions in butter until transparent.
  2. Stir in flour until thick.
  3. Add milk and blend.
  4. Add eggs and stir but do not cook.
  5. Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell.
  6. Add chicken, broccoli, dash of basil and salt to taste.
  7. Top with grated cheese.
  8. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
  9. Serve hot.

We enjoyed this for lunch today. I added 1 cup of shredded cheddar/monterey jack cheese to the egg mixture. I will definitely make this again.
