Chicken Ala Goopy

ingredients
- 4 lbs chicken parts (your favorites, breasts, legs, thighs or a mixture)
- 1 ounce dry onion soup mix (like Lipton)
- 18 ounces of pineapple apricot jam
- 16 ounces Russian salad dressing
- 2 cups water
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Arrange chicken skin side down in a large pan.
- Mix all other ingredients together, stirring well to break up the jam.
- Pour 1/2 the mixture over the chicken.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Turn chicken skin side up and pour the remaining sauce over the chicken.
- Bake an additional 30 - 45 minutes, until done.
- Arrange on serving platter and spoon extra sauce over chicken.
- We like this served with egg noodles and a green veggie. The sauce is delicious over the noodles.
