HOLY COW, these are AMAZING! I halved the recipe, used a whole packet of yeast, put half the flour in before allowing it to rise, added about 1/4 cup extra water and the remaining flour, salt, and baking soda. Kneaded it, cut it into 10 strips, shaped the pretzels, and followed the rest of the recipe. I brushed them with a well-beaten egg, dusted them with regular salt, and baked for 18 minutes. They came out perfectly, and my boyfriend, daughter, and I ate all but 3. :) Thanks for the recipe!person found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... These are delicious! I skipped the rolling part, and just divided and rolled into ropes. Five stars all the way, from the ENTIRE family. Do you know how rare that is? Thanks for a great recipe! I don't know how "Philly" they are, but they are good!person found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? I made this recipe and it was awful!! It must have been the unclear instructions on adding the flour. I wasn't sure how much to add in step one and how much to add in step two. Thanks anyway!people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? Yes | No We don't know who you are.
