  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Beat margarine and sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda, salt and spices; mix well. Stir in oats and raisins.
  3. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes and cool 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Store in an airtight container.
